Hints for this Quiz
Pattern: más + adjetivo + que.
Spain looks more “street‑based” and noisy, so “más… que” (more… than) is the best choice here.
Formula: tan + adjetivo + como.
To express equality with an adjective we use “tan… como”: tan espectaculares como.
With nouns: más/menos + sustantivo + que.
The tradition of eating 12 grapes means the amount is “more than” compared with a typical New Year’s celebration in many other countries: más… que.
Agreement: “fiesta” → “esperada”.
“Fiesta” is feminine singular, so we use “esperada”. Superlative: la + más + adjetivo.
Remember: diferente de + algo.
After “diferente” we usually use “de” in standard Spanish. (“a” is also found, but here we’re practising “de”.)
“y” = “and/then”, simple linking of actions.
The conjunction “y” links actions in sequence: “we have dinner, and then we go out…”.
For contrast, we usually use “pero”.
We need a contrast before the shared ending: “pero” (= “but”). “Aunque” sounds concessive and is less natural in this structure.
Pattern: el/la/los/las + más + adjetivo.
This is a relative superlative: artículo + más + adjetivo → “la fiesta más popular”.
