Imperativos en el coche: tú y vosotros + pronombres

Imperatives with pronouns (tú/vosotros) used in-car; choose the correct form and placement.

Key rule: in affirmative imperatives, the pronoun is attached to the verb: Ponte / Poneos / Enciéndelas. In the negative, it goes before the verb: No te lo pongas; No os lo pongáis. Ver guía y colocación.

Tú: Enciende las luces → Enciéndelas. Apaga el motor → Apágalo. Mira por el retrovisor (without pronoun). Note: direct object: luces → las; motor → lo.

Vosotros: Encended las luces → Encendedlas. Apagad el motor → Apagadlo. Cinturón: Poneos el cinturón. Note: for vosotros: poned + os → poneos. Ver formas de vosotros.

Useful reflexives in the car: Ponte / Poneos el cinturón. Also: Abróchate el cinturón. Note: it’s better to use “Abróchate”. Useful irregulars: pon, haz, ve (tú).

Rule: in affirmative commands, the pronoun is attached to the verb: ponte (poner + te). “Poneos” is for vosotros.

For vosotros: encended (base form) + las (direct object) → encendedlas. “Enciéndelas” is the tú form.
In the plural (vosotros), the imperative is formed from the infinitive → -d: encended.

In negative commands, the pronoun goes before the verb: No lo apaguéis. The verb form is the subjunctive (vosotros): apaguéis.
Remember: affirmative — after the verb; negative — before the verb (me/te/se/lo...).
