External contact + you don’t know the person = formal greeting. "Estimado + Sr./Sra. + apellido + :". That way you sound polite and professional.

In a formal email, the combination "Estimado/a," + "Quedo a la espera de sus comentarios." is a standard pair. Pay attention to "sus" (formal “your”).

For an internal email to your team, you want a friendly tone. "Hola equipo," feels natural and brief. In Spanish office culture, internal communication is usually direct and friendly, even though there’s a lot of slang and anglicisms in spoken conversations.

When you’re asking colleagues to do something, "Gracias de antemano," gently nudges them and expresses polite thanks.

Set phrase: "Quedo a la espera de…". The preposition is "de", not "por". It sounds formal and correct.

When there’s no request and you just need a neutral goodbye, use "Un saludo". "Atentamente" is more formal, "Gracias de antemano" is appropriate when you’re asking for something, and "Buen finde" is too colloquial.
