"minutos" is plural, so the verb must also be in plural → "Quedan…".

With "minutos" (plural) we say "Quedan diez minutos". Here we specifically want you to use "quedar" (not "faltar"). This is an impersonal use: "quedar + amount of time".

Pattern: "llevar + period of time + sin + infinitive": "Llevo dos semanas sin conseguirla" = "it’s already been two weeks that I haven’t managed to…". This structure is very handy to complain about a long‑lasting problem.

"… ago" = "hace + period of time" with the simple past (pretérito indefinido).

For a completed past event we use "Pretérito indefinido + hace + period of time": "Presenté … hace un mes". Compare: "Me mudé aquí hace 3 años."
